Am I this Body?
The bodies I make are hollow,
surfaces made from a flat pattern,
Just like a tailor would make a suit of clothes
empty

I use transient materials: cardboard,
plastic,
sellotape
and shrink wrap.

These materials undo quickly, without any expectation of continuity.

Originally I made bodies at life size.
Now I make them at scale.
Working small enables me to work faster and move freely. Figures reveal themselves before I have time to
interfere.

The appearance of the bodies is defined by their surface.
Profiles moving through space –
Psychologically each figure suffers separation,
from inside a body
looking out

In between “Being-all-one”,
and “being alone”
lies whatever we think we are...

All of us together, separated through form.

‘But you can’t argue with love” I hear you say.

But can love ever enter here?
in this form,
occupying this space, which I call me or you

or the others.
