The showed work of Jana Winderen is based upon previous work (Hard Rain) which she made for the exhibition The Idea of North in the Dalhouse Art Gallery in Halifax, Canada, earlier this year. It concerns an interactive audio installation in which natural sounds are transformed by motion in space. Winderen likes to make recordings of hidden sounds, such as under water. This gives room for the viewer's own fantasy and interpretation. She prefers pure sounds, without being processed by a computer, but integrated in a technical, functional surrounding. Since recently she lives in Oslo, Norway. Her sound images and multimedia installations were showed in several countries, in and outside the EU.
