South of Heaven-Chapter 1


Digital video screened in a separate dark, black painted room. This is the first of a number independent videomovies, gathered in the project South of Heaven, which started in August 2001. In chapter 1 Teljer gives his comment on a society in which people continuously have to proof themselves. Selfishness, manic depression, indfifference, nervous breakdown and masturbation are the building stones of the temple we build around us to glorify ourselves. It pretends to be a personal look on the mental welfare of the western world. Eventually all chapters together will form a kind of spiritual Odyssey.
