Johanna was the first victim of a mysterious wave of assaults. It turned her into a rotting zombie. Her father takes her home and tries to get his family back on track. Meanwhile, several police officers are investigating the strange attacks and trying to find out what causes them.

‘Dark Souls’ is not your typical horror film and most definitely not a zombie film. Mathieu Petuel and César Ducasse know their horror classics and it shows. They take their time to set up the story, using tension to draw you in. A story in which melancholy and humour alternate.
