Nick Zedd (US), the man behind Cinema of Transgression, is the guest of honor at BUTFF 2011. Zedd, along with fellow directors such as Richard Kern and Lydia Lunch, made shocking films filled with sex, violence and black humor.

Another big name at BUTFF 2011 is the German director Marian Dora. Dora directed 2006’s Cannibal, inspired by the notorious German cannibal Amim Meiwes. At BUTFF 2011, his latest film Reise nach Agatis (2010) will be shown.

New this year to BUTFF is the BUTRR program, a collaboration with the Belgian Razor Reel Fantastic Filmfestival from Bruges. French director Simon the Pernolitz will show his first feature film Maquinas Infernales (2010) at both festivals. The film is far from finished. The last scene will be finished on the stage under his direction

Amsterdam based artist Erik Alkema takes the festival by storm with his sculptures. His work aims to unmask, confront, and open your eyes, or close them.
Comics During the BUTFF the Breda Comic Days will take place. At BUTFF the raw edges of the comic book cultures can be seen with the works of FuFu Fraunwalh, Dirk Verschuren and Joost Halbersma.
Music BUTFF has managed to bring in Martin Degville of Sigue Sigue Sputnik. This band will surely bring up memories from the 80s due to the external noise by which the form trumped content. Another highlight from the music program is Black Friday, featuring excellent metal such as Botulism, Walpuris Nacht and Cirith Gorgor. On Sonic Sunday erotic artist Costes (F) will return to the BUT-floor.

After five years of B-movie, Underground & Trash Film Festvial (BUTFF) in Breda, we go international. On 12, 13 and 14 of may a Best of BUTFF weekend will be seen @ Werkstattkino cinema in München in Germany.
Werkstattkino is a cinema, since 1974, for the cult and more obsure films and there fans. It is therefore not surprising that these two found each other on this unique concept of film happening.
So keep thursday 12, friday 13 and saturday 14 may free from all appointments and and head to Munich for a true BUTFF experience.

On Saturday 11th of September the BUT-Awards ceremony took place in a well filled concert hall at the arts- and crafts
centre the Nieuwe Veste. Preceding the presentation of the awards the BUT-zombie film Earman and the revenge of the
zombie-chick-squad (2010) premiered. Remarkable is that this film was made during the BUT film festival by film maker
Thijs van Gasteren.
